Anticipation...!

Welcome to my blog. I am writing this blog because my life is about to change in a drastic way and documenting it seems like the smart thing to do. I am about to move from the comforts of my quaint, little beach home of Laguna Beach, CA to the big ancient city of Rome. I figure this is the best way to keep friends and family updated on my adventures. Let me first start from the beginning and let you know how I came to the decision to make such a life altering move. 3 months ago, I went on a solo backpacking mission in Northern Italy in search of finding, well, myself. After traveling through Rome, Florence, Siena, Pisa, Venice, Verona, and the 5 towns on the Italian Riviera, what I found instead was that the Italian culture captured my heart and I knew I had to be back there as soon as possible. From the happy, animated Italian people, the beautiful, breathtaking sites, to the food, the religion, the history, the way of life, the value of life...I loved it all. I felt inspired, I felt free. I returned a new person...and going back to my life as it was, was not an option. My boyfriend, who I adore to pieces, and I are leaving behind our lives as we know it in 1 week. The anticipation and mixture of emotions is overwhelming. Every day, we ask ourselves "are we really doing this?" Well, yes we are...and I couldn't be more happy, excited, scared...I will try to keep writing as much as possible. I want to stay connected. Thanks everyone for the support and encouragement.
